    • Email Ex-change: Hi Krysta.
My answers are in bold underneath the questions. I can't praise Will Fidler and AMC Electric enough. Will put in many long hours helping diagnose and fixing a problem I was having with my solar system under performing.  He has a wealth of knowledge about solar PV systems and always took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and work with my concerns. I'm very glad I chose AMC Electric for my solar installation.

       Hello Jeff,
My name is Krysta and I work for Snohomish County PUD. We are in the process of offering our customers cash incentives and low APR financing to have solar equipment installed at their home or business in our attempt to make Snohomish County go green! AMC Electric has listed you as a reference on the work they completed.
A simple yes or no will work fine unless you think there is something else that we need to be aware of.
      1. Did the installer perform solar access assessment where the panels were to be mounted? YES 2. Did the contractor get back to you regarding setting appointments and answering questions in a timely  manner? YES 3.   Were all the costs clearly spelled out to you upfront?
YES 4. Did the installer start and complete the installation when they originally committed to? YES. In fact Will came down on the weekend a couple of times to make sure the installation was finished when promised! 5. Did you have change orders? How Many? YES. One. A minor modification to attach to Puget Sound Energy's production meter. 6. Where there any issues with the inspections? NO 7.If there were, were the corrections completed in a timely manner? YES
      8. Is the system operating as promised? YES 9. Would you hire the installer again or recommend them to friends and family? YES. Without hesitation 10.Have you participated in the solar homes tour and would you be willing to in the future? YES. For 2 years. Our design is one of the more popular on the tour. People like the fact that the panels are mounted on a pergola structure. We plan on being on future tours.
      11.     Is there anything else we should know about your experience with the contractor or the system itself? Only that I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of AMC Electric. They made the decision to go solar an easy and rewarding one! I want to thank you ahead of time for you taking the time to answer these questions and helping us make sure we are offering qualified, professional, and experienced installers to our customers. Thank You!

  • Referral: Job Name - Hylebos Creek

William Fidler of AMC Electric did a non grid tied battery back-up type photovoltaic system for our flood control pump house in the Hylebos Creek flood plan in Pierce County, This allowed us to have interior lighting and exterior flood lighting and convenience outlet circuits and an alarm system install that we needed due to vandalism.  He did a solar access assessment and located the panels so that we would receive the best production for the site, through out the project and after he communicated all pertinent information to me, the job was unique and was built on a basis of the cost of materials plus labor and I felt that it was very fair, from the time that he started until it was up and running was about one week. Even though at this time this is a non grid tied system because ours is a non-governmental public agency we had an electrical inspection with Tacoma Public Utilities, he supplied all of the drawings and documentation and it passed with out the need for corrections
